An amateur Yiddish Theater troupe in 1930s Eastern Europe is haunted by a dybbuk from the future while on the run from Stalin’s Secret Police.
Synopsis
When struggling podcaster Leah sustains a head injury, she is knocked back through time and space and wakes up in the body of a teenage boy in 1930s Eastern Europe. On one hand—what the hell is going on? But on the other—she has found her way into the exact time and place she was researching for her podcast! She quickly meets the great Soviet Yiddish Theater director Gershon Khomsky, who might be the only person who knows why her great-grandfather disappeared. But solving the mystery of her great-grandfather’s disappearance gets even more complicated when she realizes Khomsky is using his amateur theater group to hide from Stalin’s Secret Police.
