Logline
A coming-of-age story about a fashioned-obsessed Jewish teenager with a big imagination who sets out on a journey learning to make her own clothes against the backdrop of the authoritarian regime of 1970s Soviet Moldova.
Synopsis
Anna (a.k.a. Anoushka) Grinberg, a 13-year-old misfit with a vibrant imagination, wishes she were anywhere else but Soviet Russia. Relentlessly teased for her eccentric fashion choices and being a Jew, Anna escapes into imaginary worlds rich with color and possibility. However, Anna gets in over her head after an arrangement to procure stolen fabrics puts her family in danger.
